No One Runs Alone is the Meade County Cross Country team philanthropy initiative focused on serving and supporting our local community. As a team, we believe cross country is about more than running — it is about leadership, compassion, teamwork, and using our platform to positively impact others.
From August 1 through September 15, the team will organize a canned food and nonperishable item drive to support local families and community food programs. Athletes will help collect items such as canned vegetables, soups, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, rice, and other shelf-stable foods. This effort allows our athletes to give back while recognizing the importance of supporting those in need within our community.
Beginning September 15 through October 31, No One Runs Alone will shift its focus toward collecting cold-weather items for youth in need. The team will gather donations including gloves, hats, coats, scarves, blankets, and other winter clothing items to help local children and families prepare for colder temperatures. Through this initiative, our athletes learn that being part of a team means supporting one another both on and off the course and understanding that true success includes serving others.
Donations may be dropped off at practices, and the team will also partner with Meade County High School to help organize and support school-wide collection drives throughout the fall season.
